Many years ago when I ...Lorin, I like your message! Many years ago when I was in my twenties, I remember going through a self discovery period, mimicking others I wanted to be like. Often times we can lose ourselves in this process and forget who we really are. Years later, I learned about personal introspection and digging deep within to find and develop the leader I am today. Fast forward to today, in our fast paced lives, occasionally we all need to be reminded about the importance of your message; staying true to our authenticity.LadyLeader11https://www.blogger.com/profile/11587917297970529638noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4628114293077766110.post-76570369916937587322013-05-21T14:40:26.453-07:002013-05-21T14:40:26.453-07:00It is about intentionality and seeing distractions...It is about intentionality and seeing distractions for what they are. Meditating upon the affirmation "I will get important things done first" spurs within the desire to persevere and nurtures one's ability to succeed regardless of one's 'feelings' about the task at hand. When procrastination shows itself, take a few minutes and analyze why. Seeking the truth of the matter will reveal how foolish the procrastination is.Marilyn M Wrighthttp://www.linkedin.com/pub/marilyn-m-wright/1a/a97/911noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4628114293077766110.post-40296057077455211372013-05-14T17:43:57.373-07:002013-05-14T17:43:57.373-07:00Thank you for commenting. One of the ways we know the mind works...Hi Lorin,

One of the ways we know the mind works (through cognitive psychology and neuroscience), is that the brain does not distiguish the negative language of an affirmation. Ill give you an example: " Do not think about a green elephant flying in the sky." ... Too late, right? But I told you not to!

Ok, so the principle is that we think in 1. Words, which trigger 2. Pictures, and bring about 3. Emotion. Affirmations are designed to trigger the pictures and emotion of what we want, which we naturally begin to move towards.

Therefore a better way to put your affirmation is "I'm just going to have a wonderful day."

Hope this is helpful.

Regards,

Greig Wegerle
www.px2.co.za GWhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13519129136042976280noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4628114293077766110.post-47160571364882134902013-04-23T11:11:22.614-07:002013-04-23T11:11:22.614-07:00Thank you Ernie for your support!!
