Limitations Spur Creativity

“Never limit yourself to what you can't do, but to what you have the power to do with what you have.” ~ Nadège Richards ~

How often do you use external limitations as a excuse?  You say or think things like: "There's not enough resources." "There's no money." "I need more people to get this done."  Change your focus in your mind and think of what you can do instead.  The biggest limitations are what you create in your head.  Leaders achieve when they have the will to do so.  Don't you admire those that achieve despite the odds?  If things come easy there is no growth.  Embrace limitations as a catalyst to creativity and innovation.

1. Close your eyes
2. Breathe
3. Empty your mind
4. As thoughts come in, acknowledge and whisk them away
5. Focus on your breathing
6. Think about the affirmation:

I will use limitations to spur my creativity.

Goals Begin With Dreams

The best reason for having dreams is that in dreams, no reasons are necessary. ~ Ashleigh Brilliant ~

When you dream there are no obstacles.  There is nothing you can't do when you dream and no limitations.  Dreaming allows for those "what if" moments.  Creativity and effortless problem solving happen when we transcend our minds to another place that is not our reality.  As a leader you will not have a vision if you do not take the time to dream.   How will you know where you want to go if you never take the time to imagine the greatness that lies within you?  Goals begin with dreams.  For there is nothing to attain if you do not take time to think it.  Go ahead.  Give yourself permission to dream and dream big.

1. Close your eyes
2. Breathe
3. Empty your mind
4. As thoughts come in, acknowledge and whisk them away
5. Focus on your breathing
6. Think about the affirmation:

"I will take the time to dream, let go of obstacles and set my sights on where I want to go."

To Grow, Recreate Yourself

To exist is to change, to change is to mature, to mature is to go on creating oneself endlessly. ~Henri Bergson

Over time if you cannot be creative about your life then you will be stagnant.  Running water always looks to create a new path.  It is always changing looking for a better way to move about the earth.  Water that is still looses it's oxygen and looses it's life.   Leadership that doesn't recreate itself and look for a better way to lead will soon end.   You must have the will to explore and create, otherwise you are like a pool of water that cannot sustain life.

1. Close your eyes
2. Breathe
3. Empty your mind
4. As thoughts come in, acknowledge and whisk them away
5. Focus on your breathing
6. Think about the affirmation:

"I will always look to grow and recreate myself."
